eyelash extensions

Q: What should I do prior to my appointment?

Q: How long does it take to apply extensions and how long does it last?

For a complete installation, it usually takes about 2 hours.  After 3 weeks, a touch up might take around 30 min.  Lashes fall every 60 to 90 days, and new ones constantly grow.  That's why it's necessary to do a little touch-up every 3-4 weeks, to maintain the desired density.

You will be comfortably lying down, with your eyes closed.  A certified professional will apply lash extensions one by one, using a special adhesive that is exclusively reserved for lash extensions.

Q: How is it done?

Q: Could it bring out allergies?

Q: Will it damage my lashes?

This new technique will not damage your lashes because the application is done lash per lash, without touching the skin, using a special adhesive that is exclusively reserved for lash extensions.  Never trust a technician that had her training by a  CD, DVD, books or on a mannequins head.  A bad technique could end up being disastrous....for your eyes or eyelashes.

Q: What kind of maintenance is required?

Your new lashes are long, thick and gorgeous!  They need minimal care and will easily adapt to your lifestyle.  They resist water, perspiration and tears.  You can swim, shower and do sports with no worries.  You will have to brush them every morning with the eyelash brush.  DO NOT use oil based products, lotions or waterproof mascaras.  These products will cause the adhesive to weaken.  All MISENCIL products are exclusively made for eyelash extensions.

Do not wear any eye makeup especially mascara because any residue leftover from the mascara will weaken the bond with your extensions and the adhesive and do not curl your lashes.

FYI: Each eye counts about 200 lashes.  There are 3 series of short lashes. The upper lashes are more numerous and are longer than the lower lashes.  The lengths of the upper lashes vary from 8-12mm.  Eyelashes have a life span of 60 to 90 days. New lashes constantly grow.

Q: I once had lash extensions, but they didn't last long.

Only if you are allergic to polyester (extensions) or to cyanoacrylates (adhesive).  But then again... the adhesive never has direct skin contact

- The adhesives quality.  The MISENCIL adhesive is made in a lab and is known for it's hold, reliability, resistance and flexibility.

- Lash extensions' quality.  Individual lash extensions hold well in place.  Bundle lash extensions are heavy and can fall quickly.

Quality of Training. Training is key to success for a perfect result.  The technicians are taught about hygiene, security and have practiced on real models.  Each technician is certified after sending in 5 pictures of extension applications they've realized.
